Drop Off & Pick Up Procedures
MIS Drop Off & Pick Procedures
Morning Procedures
We are always looking for ways to improve our morning car line and ensure the safety of all students, staff, and families. Please take a moment to review the expectations and best practices for a smooth and safe drop-off process.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to keeping our students safe!
In the mornings, vehicles will form a single line starting at the stop sign near the Food Service building.
Drop-Off Zone Guidelines:
-
Students must exit to the right onto the sidewalk.
-
Pull all the way forward to fill the zone before stopping.
-
Do not block the crosswalk.
-
Once traffic has stopped in the drop-off zone, all students should exit their vehicles right away, no matter where they are in the line.
Please make sure students are ready to go—with their belongings in hand and goodbyes said—before it’s their turn. This helps keep the line moving smoothly and ensures everyone gets inside safely and on time.
Following these steps will help keep the car line safe, efficient, and moving smoothly.
Entering the Car Line:
-
Avoid blocking the roadway at the southwest corner of the parking lot. This area can become congested.
-
Merge like a zipper—one car from each side—to keep traffic flowing.
Staff & Traffic Control:
-
Staff are outside to assist and ensure safety. Please pay attention to their instructions.
-
Obey staff stop signs as you would real stop signs.
We understand that mornings can be busy, and we appreciate your patience. When everyone follows these guidelines, the average wait time is less than two minutes.
Thanks so much for helping us make morning drop-off efficient for everyone!
