Career Services at Scott Tech support students in building valuable, career-ready skills by connecting them with meaningful learning experiences both in and out of the classroom. Through strong partnerships with local employers, community organizations, families, and our 14 sending schools, we offer a wide network of opportunities to help students prepare for their future.
Job Shadowing
During the first semester, students have the opportunity to participate in job shadowing experiences related to their program of study. This allows them to explore real-world careers and gain insight into their field of interest.
Career Readiness Activities
Throughout the year, students engage in hands-on activities focused on resume writing, completing job applications, and developing strong interview skills—equipping them with the tools needed to succeed in the job market.
Internships
Second-year seniors may be eligible for internship placements in local businesses and industries. These internships allow students to apply the skills they’ve learned in the classroom in a real-world setting while gaining valuable work experience.
Focus on the Future
This annual event, coordinated by Career Services, brings together representatives from business and industry, colleges, technical schools, and the military. It provides students with direct access to information and guidance as they explore post-secondary and career options.
