We had a frozen pipe burst 🥶 at the Monett High School on Fri., Dec. 23. By Friday, everyone had already left the building for the holiday break.🎄 Mrs. Heman just happened to be stopping by her office. When she walked in the front door, she was greeted with water from the front office down to the west hallway, library, and gym.
👏👏 We want to give a shout-out to Mrs. Heman, Mr. Garner, Dr. Drake, the maintenance team, the custodial crew, and everyone who came in to help clean up as much as possible. They all reacted quickly and minimized the damage. At this time, an outside team is helping us clear everything out.
Although we are not thrilled about frozen pipe burst, we are glad this incident occurred during the holiday break, and no one was hurt. We expect to have everything cleared out by the time students return on January 10.
