Monday May 2nd at 7:00pm in the MHS PAC will be the Thespian/ Speech & Debate Showcase and Awards Night. Students will perform scenes and songs while Speech & Debate will perform competition events featuring District and State Finalist and National Qualifier events.
The Thespian/Speech & Debate Showcase Awards Night is on Monday, May 2, at 7:00 pm at the MHS PAC. Members of the MHS Thespian Troupe will perform scenes and songs, while Speech & Debate will perform competition events featuring District and State Finalist and National Qualifier events. We encourage the community to come and enjoy a fun night of entertainment!
The MHS Theatre Department was at the MSHSAA Theatre, Speech & Debate State Championship! Our students performed their One Act "The Internet is Distract- OH LOOK A KITTEN!" and did very well! MHS Speech & Debate students went up against the best of the best and were amazing! Karsen Rhea is a State Finalist and took 3rd in the State for Dramatic Interpretation!!
Josue Cavazos Jr has received “Honorable Mention” for the 2022 Missouri Scholars 100, a statewide program that honors 100 of Missouri’s top academic students in the graduating class of 2022. Congratulations!

Katherine Johnson is a GO CAPS student in the Agriculture and Food System Strand. Katherine's GO CAPS CAPStone project teaches students about agriculture and where their food comes from. Katherine was recently in Mrs. Blevins' 5th-grade classroom at MIS for three days teaching students about the MO Beef for MO Kids program. She prepared and taught three lessons and conducted activities to go along with the lessons.

Our Choir students competed at the District Solo/Small Ensemble contest on April 1st at MSSU. Three entries advanced to State! Congratulations to all! 👏😁
GO CAPS held their annual Lunch and Learn event. This event brings educators and business partners together to learn from one another. GO CAPS students held roundtable discussions with administrators, counselors from area schools, and partners in our region. GO CAPS students had the opportunity to share their experiences and provide insight into the program's benefits.
