Scott Tech hosted a Heavy Equipment Operations Day, featuring local industry experts Vaughn Company, Ozark Laser, and North Arkansas College. This event provided 204 students with an in-depth look at the heavy equipment operations industry, giving them the chance to explore real-world skills and learn about career paths within the field.

Throughout the day, students engaged in hands-on experiences with advanced machinery, including trying out geopositioning tools, operating equipment, and seeing heavy machines up close. These activities allowed students to gain practical insight into various aspects of the industry, enhancing their understanding of the technical skills involved in heavy equipment operation.

North Arkansas College also joined us to discuss their specialized Heavy Equipment Operations Certification Program, offering students a pathway to earn credentials that can launch their careers in this high-demand field.  Chad Hathaway, Program Manager/Construction Equipment Operations Instructor, was here to answer questions about enrollment, course structure, and career opportunities post-certification.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to Vaughn Company, Ozark Laser, and North Arkansas College for dedicating their time and resources to make this day an invaluable learning experience for our students. This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to providing students with relevant, hands-on experiences that bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industry skills. We would also like to thank Tents for All Events for providing a tent and chairs for our setup.
