State Champions, All-Americans, All-State Selections, and numerous other accolades have been awarded to individuals and teams representing our community over the years. At Monett, we have a large number of players, coaches, and contributors that have been a part of our great athletic tradition. These individuals and teams have been a great source of pride for the community over the years.
Daryl Bradley, Monett District Athletic Director, and Michael Calhoun, Monett Assistant Athletic Director, started an athletic Hall of Fame. The Monett School District now has a method to select individuals for this prestigious honor. The Hall of Fame project was formally brought to the Board of Education at the December 2019 meeting.
The committee is made up of school officials and community members. They will be selecting the Hall of Fame Class of 2023. The nominations will be limited to five athletes, two coaches, and one contributor.
The eligibility requirements are:
Athlete nominee must be graduated for 15 years before nomination
Coach nominee must have ended coaching responsibilities for three years
Contributors are allowed to be nominated at any time
Once nominees are selected, the members will be notified. Nominees will be recognized in the fall with a special celebratory dinner. Nominees will also receive a plaque and ring for their accomplishments in the Halftime home football game.
The Monett School District is thrilled about the opportunity to officially recognize exceptional people and teams.
To nominate, follow the links below. The nomination process will close on MAY 1.
