We wish to address reports about a fire at the old middle school campus. We understand that such news can be concerning, so we want to provide you with accurate information and assure you all is well.
At approximately 5:30 pm on Friday, November 3, concerns were raised about a potential fire at the old middle school building on 710 9th Street. Thankfully, it turned out to be a controlled burn of bush by a local resident in the neighborhood and not on our school property. The fire department was promptly called to the scene, and the situation was quickly handled without any risk to the school or the surrounding community.
In light of this event, we also want to share some positive news about the old middle school. As we mentioned in the 2022-2023 school year, we are currently renovating the building, which will soon serve as our new administrative offices for our district. This renovation is a step forward for our community, and we look forward to the improved facilities that will support our educational mission. We've attached some photos of the current progress of the new administrative offices.
