We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the Missouri Comprehensive Afterschool Learning (MOCAL) grant to fund the Cub House for the 2024-2025 school year. From January 2020 until May 2024, the Cub House was funded by the 21st Century Community Learning (21CCLC) grant. Due to a highly competitive grant cycle, the Monett R-1 Cub House will now be funded through MOCAL. The MOCAL grant is a year-to-year grant continuation. Please note that the MOCAL Cub House grant is only for grades PK-5. The previous 21CCLC grant included grades 6-8, but the MOCAL grant does not.
Cub House has limited availability. Slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis using the timestamped submissions. We understand the high demand for Cub House, and as such, each student will be placed on a waiting list. A phone call or email will be sent to all enrolled students. This form serves as an expression of interest and is not an enrollment form.
To facilitate smooth end-of-day transitions, we request that students enrolled in Cub House be picked up no earlier than 3:45 pm on weekdays and 2:45 pm on Fridays.
Family Information for the 2024 - 2025 School Year:
Hours for Cub House will be after school until 5:30 at each campus.
Bus transportation will not be provided after Cub House. All students will be car riders.
PreK and Kindergarten students will be at MECC
1st grade - 3rd grade students will be at MES
4th grade - 5th grade students will be at MIS
All PreK - 5th grade students will be provided, at minimum, an afterschool snack.
