The Monett R-1 School District encourages qualified persons interested in running for a position on the School Board to file to be a candidate in the April 8, 2025, election. Interested persons may file at the Monett Administration Office located at 710 9th Street in Monett, Missouri. For more information contact Ana Espinoza, 417-235-7422.
Filing will begin on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. Except for the first and last day of the filing period, filing will not occur on holidays or days when school is closed, with the exception of December 30th and 31st. Below is the complete list of filing dates and times:
First Day to File: Dec. 10, 2024 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Dec. 11-19, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Dec. 20, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Dec. 30 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Last Day to File: Dec. 31 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
There are two (2) positions available for terms of three (3) years each. Candidates will appear on the ballot in the numerical order of filing.
If elected or appointed to the Board, candidates are required by law to successfully complete 18.5 hours of Board training within one year of the date elected or appointed. § 162.203, RSMo.
